Sterling Impreglon Asia's founder, Mr. Ricchard Tan, acquired the brush plating process from the United States and began extensive research and development to enhance and refine the brush plating process and its chemicals.

Mobil Oil enlisted Mr. Ricchard Tan's expertise in electroplating and construction management in Batam, leading to the successful construction of an electroplating plant from the ground up.

Sterling Impreglon Asia officially commenced business, focusing on repair projects in the printing and steel mills industry, specifically for damaged printing cylinders.

Through years of quality refinement, major licensors in the oil and gas industries adopted our process for their anti-galling requirements. We became the approved plating vendor for Vallourec, Tenaris, JFE, and their licensees, along with numerous machine workshops.

Recognized for our expertise, Sterling Impreglon Asia established a strong presence in the oil and gas industry. We also developed in-situ process and equipment, reducing costs and downtime in the marine industry. Our processes received Marine Class Approval from Lloyds Register of London, Det Norske Veritas of Norway, and the American Bureau of Shipping.

We expanded our services by building an in-house infrastructure for oil companies with heavy hangers, becoming the only company worldwide capable of providing quality brush plating services on heavy hangers (from 1 ton to 3 ton). Additionally, we designed and build a horizontal cell electroplating line to plate on range 1,2 and 3 oil pipes, from 10 feet to a maximum of 40 feet, significantly increasing production capacity.

Leveraging our extensive experience in brush plating solutions, we now offer customized training programs at our Singapore workshop or on-site globally. We are recognized as certified trainers during the qualification process, catering to specific repair applications and anti-galling processes.
